This is a project I am creating to help me reclaim my own relationship with the internet.
It is a project of self-betterment and deeper understanding of my world, inlcuding the technical world.
More practically, it is a collection of my personal creations, from writings to crafting to some light journaling.
Some things you will see on this website are:
~Reviews of games, anime, manga/manhwa, and music
~Travel blogs
~Crafting updates for crochet, painting, or coloring pages
~Fun or inspiring quotes I like
Updates~
Oh boy, I've been busy.... I had a retreat one weekend and then had to go out of town to help my mother last week. Maybe I'll post a travel blog from that trip... Anyway, I've been killing my social media, which has increased my time to enjoy my hobbies!
I have recently finished the following media:
Disco Elysium (video game): Wow. I know this is a bit redundant to say, but this game is really good. It's my current go-to standard for what games can be. I still have others, of course, but this one really did something special.
Legends & Lattes (book): This book is rediciously cozy. A few coffee cafe reads was the perfect environment to engage with this novel. Nice, quick read.
Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ (visual novel): This was a nice story. I still need to play the other routes, but I'll be busy for a while. The queen of England committed genocide left and right for the sake of the kingdom? What a unique and totally unheard of thing to happen. :d
Birding with Benefits (book): This was the choice for my irl book club. I LOVE the birding aspect of this romance novel. I'm a bit of a birder, myself, and am semi-familiar with the birds of Arizona, where this story takes place. It got pretty heccin' spicy during arc 2 and it was definately an experience to read in public spaces... I love me some shyboi lovers, though.
Currently, I am smoking the following media:
Persia, the Magic Fairy (anime): The last of the Perriot 80s magical girl anime for me to watch. VERY bizarre, lots of awkward, side-eyeing moments with their depictions of various racial and gender representations. Still, I can't stop watching- like a trainwreck...
Arco Trip (anime): This is an anime coming out this season (Fall 2024). This set-up is pretty much exactly the same as MahoAko, the ecchi magical girl anime from a couple seasons back. Except this time, it's not pornographic! Woohoo! It's a fun concept: what if a magical girl fan is tricked into siding with the villian side for the excitement of watching their hero save the day.
The Stories of Girls Who Can't Be Magicians (anime): This is an anime coming out this season (Fall 2024). This is SO CUTE AND COZY. The pastels are soft, just as I like them. I love the design of the witch teacher who has a frog on her large brimmed hat.
The following are my Anicord Contracts for Fall 2024, expect reviews soon!:
Magical Destroyers (anime): I'm mostly through this one. I have some... thoughts... But I'm having a hard time figuring out where what the intention is in this work. I'll let you know what I do or don't figure out.
Show by Rock!! (anime): Oh, man... I really like some parts of this, but boy do I wish it had been a show for kids. The cutesy designs mixed with the fan service just feels gross to me. It's representative of the parts of anime I'd don't care for, in some ways. But in other ways, I really like it.
Non Non Biyori (anime): Not started, coming soon.
Bakuman (anime): Not started, coming soon.
Girls Band Cry (anime): Not started, coming soon.
Magus of the Library (manga): I've only read two chapters of this so far, but I'm really liking its themes and art. I'm always a fan of "isn't reading really cool?" stories.
CrossCode (game): Not started, coming soon.
Alongside all this, I have also been working on a crochet project based on something I saw in Minky Momo. Hopefully I get back to it soon!
